Your Questions About Luggage

Betty asks…
Are homemade luggage tags for save the date cheap or a good idea?
I’m thinking of making homemade luggage tags with wedding scrapbook paper & embellishments. Its a destination wedding & since I need to provide so many details, I’m sending a letter on nice stationary as well. My fiance thinks the tags & letters are nicely done & its saving lots of $, but wondering if people with think its cheap?
answers:
I don’t think it’s “cheap,” but the point of a reminder is to have it in a prominent place. Would you put a luggage tag on your fridge to remember the date? Maybe there is more to it than I know from your question…
Perhaps a magnet instead… Or a nice postcard with your picture on it. That would be easy to keep.

James asks…
How to make make-shift luggage tags from ordinary household items?
Bus full of high school students leaves tomorrow morning. My high school student just let me know that her luggage needs to be marked in a semi-permanent kind of way. We don’t have any luggage tags. What would you do?
answers:
Beg, borrow or buy a white belt with a buckle and thread it through the suitcase handle and then through the buckle. Beg, borrow or buy some superglue and with the belt threaded through the buckle superglue the buckle and belt together to prevent it coming apart.
Nest beg, borrow or buy an indelible permanent marker pen and write your house/flat number on both sides of the belt.
Then write your postcode after the house/flat number followed by the country abbreviation e.g. U.K.
Voila !!! A home mage bag tag made in minutes.

Laura asks…
Does anyone know where I can customize luggage tags for party favors using a PDF file?
I want to use a PDF file from the Save the Date to make luggage tags as a bridal shower favor, however most sites are too expensive. To be cost effective, I need them to be in the $3-$4 range. Any suggestions are welcome!! Thanks.
answers:
Have you tried Vista Print? You can download PDF’s and personalize your tags for free and depending on how many you order, they reduce the price for them. They are super easy to work with and they are good quality.

Carol asks…
where can i get cute Luggage Tags at a store thats not online?
i i live in the new york city area and im leaving to go way in a couple of days and im looking for some cute luggage tags, can anyone tell me where to go?
answers:
Forget the cute ones. The people who handle luggage have ways of breaking and messing up everything on the outside of your luggage. They won’t be cute by the time they get to your destination.
They sell them at AAA. Also any store that sells luggage usually sells them. So do many travel agencies.
